Special All-Noah Edition of CFA!

Noah Boy will be 20 months old tomorrow! Noah weighs 23 pounds and has 9 teeth, including two molars I just discovered last week. He has 50+ words and is using two and three word phrases, usually "I want_____". He cannot pronouce a "ck" sound, so he says "mult" for milk, "yut" for yuck, and my favorite, "tit" for kick. He can drink from a regular cup, but it's dangerous, because he's usually more interested in watching the liquid pour out into another cup, the table or my carpet than he is in actually drinking from it. He's a patient and creative problem solver, he loves books ("boot") and to be read to. He's a ham who will smile with all his might and teeth anytime he sees a camera and even says, "Cheese!". He's got wicked bed head. He loves to dance and play drums and guitars. He's my little rock star, and I cannot believe he's already this big. Please to enjoy these pictures of him!

Welcome Kaitlyn!

This post is way late, but we would like to welcome the newest member of Clan Cerneka, Kaitlyn Nicole Young, daughter of Laura and Ryan Young, Shannon's sister and brother-in-law. She was born March 26 at 1:43 pm, weighing 7 pounds even and 19 inches long. These pictures were taken on our first visit to see her, the day after she came home. Madeleine was so excited to see her new cousin. Noah took a look at her, but was way more interested in playing with Nathan and Nathan's cousin Ben than in Kaitlyn.

February Catch-Up

To Noah, anything remotely hat-shaped is a hat. He has spent entire days with a red bucket on his head, and then there's this happy meal box, which he loved, but didn't last very long.

You can't see them very well, but Madeleine put all her pets (as she calls her stuffed animals) in one of her sleeping bags.

Noah and Madeleine watching me play Guitar Hero. Noah is obsessed with guitars. As he was watching me play, he walked over to his toy Dirt Devil (which he likes to play with now, as you can see, without tears) and put the tubing around is neck like a guitar strap. I had to stop to snap this pic, even though I got booed and had to start the song all over again. It was totally worth it.

Noah is the sneakiest little food thief! He pulled this box of cheerios down off my kitchen cart and had dumped it out. He was eating a little, playing a little.

Shannon and I give the kids their Valentines. That's one of our favorite babysitters, Megan, in the back.

Megan got this pictures of Madeleine that night as she watched them so we could go out. I had made asparagus for them to have with dinner, and evidently Madeleine didn't like it. This is the face she made as she told Megan, "Megan, I can't eat this. It's too choke-y" and faked a cough.
